Snapped pretty much in the middle of the section .

The thing is i dint like the tapered poles anyway , they twist as you try to use them , particularly the end tool , in my opinion they are not really up to the job .
I use the Xtreme clamped sections from Grippa. They're excellent, don't have a problem with the sections of tools spinning. 👍

Do you have the carbon adapter on the end and the alloy end tools or do you use the lightweight plastic tools?

Hi Avo, Here is a pic of the poles supplied by www.carbonfibretubes.co.uk
As mentioned before they just sell the poles so you have to sort out the guttervac heads yourself.
they look brilliant they do mate.. there going on my wanted list  ;)

I've been using the lightweight plastic tools, they're sound for what I want. I've done some jobs where even the narrow ended gulper has a job getting into the gap between tile and gutter but even then hadn't had spinning issues and I've used plenty of force!

no idea , i don't know if they sell the clamps separately and that doesn't solve the problem of them not being very strong either .

Sound like they are not really fit for purpose then  ???

I know Rhinoman mentioned on here when he posted one of his vid that his crew snapped two poles on one 3/4 storey job they did but I don't remember what poles he was using at the time.

I will see if I can find the old thread.

nope im not convinced they are .......very very light but thats no good if they snap.

I thin the clamped version is stronger and obviously a bit heavier  but its a lot of money to replace them all!

I think to be honest trying to clear gutters with carbon fibre poles will eventualy take it's toll on any type of carbon gutter pole sections you buy. They are defo not as strong or as durable as say using aluminum but that's the trade off you make when wanting to use lighter weight guttervac poles I suppose.

That's why I went for the chepo ones from carbonfibretubes just to see what they were like as I got asked to do a large 3 storey job so paid for themselves and more some just doing that one job. My logic was even if they lasted doing that one job I would  been quids in but turns out as it happens they surved their purpose very well.

The job that I brought them for that's just part of it in the pic so was thinking to myself whilst doing a gutter survey fook struggling with my old omni aluminium poles on that lot. I will simply add the cost of new carbon poles into the job as well as you do as I was not bothered either way if I got it or not.

I would still expect them to last more than 6 jobs though and certainly not snap as I'm lifting it up .

They are sold for this purpose after all .

Yes indeed as I've mentioned before you really need to take that up with Alex Gardiner after all he supplies grippa with those gutter poles. I think Alex has already mentioned to get in contact with him.

Edit: sorry just read through all the posts again it was grippa not Alex who said contact them via email but if you get no joy I would send Alex an email too.

Robert,
You have changed your story, from just moving it along the gutter to lifting it.
We found that a 1.5 metre carbon fibre pole went from 425 grams to 1250 grams in fifteen minutes.
You must keep the poles clean, if the gutters are muddy, clean about every 15 minutes.

Sorry where has Robert changed his story  ???
Good housekeeping tip though about sludge/debris sticking to the insides as it's not just the poles it effects but the vac head, hose, vac inlet and vac filter so can have an effect not only of the weight of the kit but also can reduce the suction too.

the head sections and end tools will be easy for me to put together but how  are you attaching the vac hose to the pole? Are you using 51mm  vac cuffs?
