I'll be honest and say the prices do need updating on the old delta range. That machine should be no more than £1350 Dual updated prices a week ago and we have not had time to change them over.
I will however say this.
99% of these online stores DO NOT stock and have never seen the pressure washers and parts you are looking at. Malcleanse or Malcomn and his wife christine take your order and the profit and phone dual who then ship out / build your machine for you having never touched it never made sure it is working when it leaves the factory.
WE STOCK the parts and indeed most of the variations we sell on the new ranges - our warehouse costs us £10,000 per year in rent and heat - where does the money to do this come from? If you order machines from these online stores unless Dual has them built (they usually don't) you will have to wait up to 10 days for a build to be booked and the machine sent out to you.
As such Joe Bloggs in his bedroom can afford to make £30 on a £1300 sale - we cannot. Would you work on those margins? I bet most of your wouldn't get out of bed for less than £150 a day, and rightly so so why should we?
I could sell machines at £10 over cost all day long but unfortunately thats where my help for you would end, for me that would ruin the job, I thoroughly enjoy helping our customers talking them through modifications servicing and annual repairs and even expansion and upgrades. If our business were to become a get them out them in and sold as fast as we can I would stop because for me it would be worthless - I might as well get a job with one of the many UK manufacturers. We have never hidden the fact that on most products there is a little movement for negotiation but I don't see why I should have to under cut and devalue the market which would firstly annoy my competitors but drive the market to a point where none of us could keep going and any old wolly could afford a decent set up after working in mc Donald's for five minutes.
Jetmac is a perfect example of a company that has flooded the market with cheap machines, and because they are away in Ireland its mugs like me who get landed re sealing and sorting out knackered engines and pumps - yes I know I sound like I'm moaning but I we spend huge amounts of time sorting machines he has long since lost interest in.
