decided to go with vyair, a well known company, easy to contact, FREE DELIVERY. this is why i purchased from them.
3x100gpd membranes £90.46p + free delivery.
other companys sold cheaper but there delivery took it over the £100 mark,
i was going to get 3x150 membranes to make my ro a 450gpd, but they said they would not have any extra impact on producing more quicker. pure water
Absolute rubbish.
Our first r/o was fitted with 75GPD membranes. They couldn't be guaranteed to fill a 375 liter tank of water overnight.
Those where upgraded to 150GPD and the difference was very evident.
That 450gpd kept the 2 of us with enough water everyday for 5 years.
When you want genuine information to make a decision they aren't the company to rely on in my own personal experience.
Look at the amp draw on their wfp pumps.
The 5 LPM pump draws 5.8 amps;
the 7 LPM pump draws 3 amps;
the 10 LPM pump draws 8 amps;
and the 12LPM pump draws 10 amps.
I asked them 3 times to confirm the amp draw on that 7 LPM pump. I got no response.
Now I could have taken that draw as gospel and ordered 2 pumps to replace my Shurflos as I would have only use 1/2 the battery current a day running 2 pumps.
As I said earlier. It isn't about the initial price. You saved a tenner on their cheap poor quality membranes. If your rejection rates are five points higher than a quality brand, then break even would be in 2 1/2 months. If those membranes last you 5 years then those cheap membranes could cost you £230.00 in additional resin costs.
