Dear Sir 8 weekly
I keep telling you it does work - why dont YOU listen fool!  ;D
It doesn't. Keywords in text do work, but not in video. Google doesn't listen to them. It does nothing to enhance your search position at all. You may as well make the video interesting rather than just repeating keywords. It sounds ridiculous and doesn't do anything. With such a successful business you ought to be able to employ someone that can give you good advice.

8weekly: Have you ever turned on the automatic subtitles on videos? You know the ones which are created by Google's system listening to your video and working out which words are said?

I can see where rhino is coming from, that these videos are aimed very specifically at certain things, therefore it's a cheap way to get traffic - it's just not my cup of tea

Rhinoman is not as daft as people make out he is and is only trying to help others in the end by taking time to explain why he uploads vids on the so say interweb.

No, why? The Googlebot does not crawl video content. He could make far more useful videos without keyword spamming keywords that aren't even indexed.

If you mean ::)roll

In order to effectively aid marketers in fully understanding customers and subsequently developing a strategic marketing plan, marketing automation tools (MAT) are designed to perform four key tasks:
Development and analysis of marketing campaigns and customers
 Management of marketing campaigns
Appropriate customer data organization and storage
Moving contacts from leads to customers

It is typical of marketing automation platforms to offer a content management system, hosted webforms, landing pages, analytics, and email platform.

Then why not  ;D

When you put it in simple layman's terms like that then yes.

If you are providing an ongoing service to the likes of Tesco or Sainsbury's I can see why it might be helpful to have documented procedures. In general though, if customers aren't asking for it, it is just an unnecessary expense. Maybe they are asking? Seems unlikely though.

can you provide a sauce to prove that google does not crawl video content? because they do work out the words in the videos, so interest to know how you knwo they don't use those words.

i'm expecting you to provide little to no proof now and go silent.

Well I didn't need to provide a 'sauce" as I already knew, but here you go: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/72746?hl=en

Have a read. The point is that it's good to have videos that are informative and interesting, but keyword spamming is bad enough to read, to listen to its even more tortuous, but to listen to it being read in such an amateurish way when it doesn't even get crawled..... Well, not very bright really.
