Customer no show
« on: October 28, 2015, 11:12:27 am »
Turned up at a whole house job today and nobody at home so I rang the customer. The man answered the phone and said that he had texted me to arrange the clean for an earlier far and as I had not replied assumed that I was too busy or something so got somebody else to do it. I had no text from him not convinced about his story and a bit irritated such is life !

Used to really wind me up but now I always view it as a lucky near miss because you can almost guarantee they were a problem customer anyway! You can normally fill the slot by swapping jobs around in most cases :)

I am less bothered by these now a chance to clean the van out or do some bookwork spend some time watching  a bit of tele  clean the office or go for a walk or a meal.

A day to chill a bit.

It all depends how long you have had to travel to the job.

Like buses they come in 2's I had a few a couple of weeks ago it's very infuriating as I'd turned good paying work away as 'those' so called customers had made appointments first.

I always leave an invoice for no shows for our minimum charge,

Not all pay up but a surprising amount do...... if they are genuine and re book I take the amount off the final invoice..

Does anyone fancy an all inclusive holiday to a 5 star hotel  in the Med for 2 people? Totally free of charge!!

That's the same amount of money as I lost last year for no shows.

When people are not  In for a booked appointment it's the same as them taking money out of your wallet  don't be mislead........ they are stealing your money

I would at least ring and explain.
Impossible done straight away, miracles can take a little longer.

people unfortunately are selfish and do whats best for themselves, they dont care any more about your business any more than you care about  missing a doctors appointment as said above.
