« on: May 11, 2006, 12:37:11 pm »
yesterday my neck was burnt to a crisp with the heat of the sun, even with sun tan lotion. does any of you wear this kind of hat to stop the neck area getting sun burnt, or what do you do to protect your neck area any ideas,

I got burned Thursday but not badly.I have a straw hat I bought off a market stall but if you want a real sun hat check out the website for Cutana hats in Oz.

Use lots of suncream, very high factor. I bought a load from St John Ambulance Brigade Supplies. Its good stuff and a lot cheaper than the fancy overpriced stuff you get in the chemists.
Anybody else know any good hat websites?

I've got a hat similar to that (camping/army surplus stores) and I use suncream.
It's a game of three halves!

Lots of suncream on the tops of ears, back of neck, nose, eyebrows and cheeks.

Make sure you re-apply every 2-3 hours in the scorching heat.
