do we have to have this as carpet cleaners
lady rang saying we have lots of work for you
but do you have the police crb
saying its a new law come out in april
this is new to me

No. Its called DBS now and has been for a while. I phoned DBS about a year ago asking to apply. They refused an application from me as I didn't fall into any of the categories of work required to have one. The DBS website has tue criteria listed on there.

I think it still maybe CRB in Scotland.

Worth a check on the website to see if you are eligible to apply for one. Worth having if it helps get work.

just rang the lass. she saying its coming out soon for everyone to have this ,
everyone that's going into a home or place with vulnerable people
will be old folks homes or the like

and you can do it online..
Don't waste your time applying in England they are hopeless ..

I inquired about this last year. The answer I got was that an individual cannot apply. However a company can apply for a member of staff to be approved.

it won't be done for next week buddy!  When you go to the police station you give them the fee, and they give you from to fill out and I "think" post out.  Can't remember 100% it was a while when I got mine.   It takes a while for the DBS to come back to you.

We have been waiting since June for  one of our cleaners DbS to come back, apparently met police have a backlog.
