Introduction & Questions
« on: October 02, 2015, 11:42:06 am »
Hi, my name is Khadija and I am the managing director of Opal & Pearl Eco Cleaning Services.

I started this company after leaving my job in London and re-locating to be closer to family after having my first child.

The business has been greatly received around my local area, we have been trading for less than a year but customers are coming thick and fast, so I am going to need to employ someone very soon!

Onto my questions;

1. I am currently using Wave Accounting online to keep track of Incomings/Outgoings and Invoicing, I think I need a more robust system, what do people recommend?

2. I currently store my customer information in the accounting software mentioned above, but I'd like a more dedicated customer database that I can store notes about the customer and track any incentives I have provided. What do you recommend?

3. I will also have the need for Scheduling Software, what's out there?

4.  As I mentioned above, I will be taking someone on soon as an employee, I need to draft a contract but don't know where to start, does anyone have a copy they can share, and do you add a clause about potentially stealing customers?

Thank you for all your help!

Can't beat it.

Do a search online for an employment contract, people per hour is good for turning your rough draft into a great document, yes you can have a clause - but how legally binding it is, is another matter that usually comes down to how rich you want to make a lawyer

Never argue with an idiot, they will only bring you down to their level, and beat you with experience
