booster pumps before or after garden tap??
« on: October 01, 2015, 12:20:51 am »
whenever i have used booster pumps always had problems with fitting them to system as always had ionics setup taken from van system they have hoselock type fittings so in past have always tried to bodge the pump using variety of hoses pulled over copper and jubilee clips etc but watching some you tube clips some have there booster pumps fitted with copper to water system of the house would this be best option

You're looking at the wrong videos for what we do. You're looking at booster pumps used and fitted for whole house application.

I think Its technically illegal to fit a booster pump to your mains?

Not sure why I think that though. Lol. I'm sure I've heard it spoke of on here.  Something about drawing more water than there should be through the pipes.

I don't get how you'd fit a pump before your tap? do you put it in the wall before the tap?

You'd make it the first thing after your stop cock. Also you'd fit a non return valve to the intake on it.

Hi
1 connect your hose pipe to tap
2 connect hose pipe to booster pump. Hozelock fitting  or jubilee  clip.
3 connect  hose pipe comes out from booster to ionic system fitting
Simple easy

wish it was that simple we went round loads of plumbing merchants last time showing them pics etc of pumps andnwhat we needed it for ended up having to fit copper pipe aqnd pull hose over it with jubilee clips holding in place which still caused spray everywhere
