« on: September 15, 2015, 04:36:09 pm »

called out to clean this rug from Crucial trading     wool and linen rug, but where the linen edge is, as you can see has got a few ridges in  the area where the owner had rubbed a mark off        never seen this on linen edges before so dont know if customer at fault or rug maker   any ideas

They could have stretched the material, but does also look like differential shrinkage, like you get down the leg seams on Jeans when they have been washed.

probably where every one walks across rug so some wear to edge and probably client rubbed as
hard as possible with to much product they where using I cant see it being the rug manufactor
fault as it was not there when brought happy cleaning

Carpet has shrunk along that edge whereas wrapping hasn't so has rucked up. As Dave said, differential shrinkage.
