HI all

My brother just brought a second hand van with a 40/40 set up all was working well until today he has a PS red light come on and the pump refuses to work

here is the system he has

http://www.windowcleaningwarehouse.co.uk/wcw-easy-analogue-flow-controller.html

because the system is second had and the guy he brought it off does not know either can any of you help ?

What dose PS mean and what can be done to fix it

Thanks Glyn

UPDATE

Good news I got it working again  ;D , just want to take this time to thank every one for the help, It turns out it was a loose wire( the black negative from the pump) . The wiring goes around the Di and we could not see that it came out,so just reconnected it and now my brother is happy again.its been a long time since he kissed me but I think he was stressing out over it  :-*

Thanks Glyn

pressure switch.
release the water pressure it should come back on.
if your tap is open then you will need to recalibrate pressure sttings.

Turning the tap on would release the pressure.

Open up the controller and they'll probably be dial/screw of some sort that you can turn to adjust the pressure setting

In fact scrap that, just looked at the photo on the link you've posted.
The right k nob is the pressure/calibration setting, it needs adjusting
I would have thought you need to turn it up a bit if your pressure switch is dead ending (i should point out that the pumps pressure switch shouldn't be wired in, i dont think, if you're using that controller)

Also check for kinks in hose etc...

Edit - i think its one of ian sheppards controllers, he'll be along soon
Why don't you have a quick google before making stupid comments?

Calibration is a fickle thing, especially the older the pump/controller is
(If thats the problem anyway)

When is colder the pump has to work harder as the water is thicker, so a higher pressure setting is needed

Same visa versa

The older the pump/controller is, the more frequently you'll have to adjust the pressure/calibrarion

I have one pump that is less than a year old and never have to change it.
The other is around 4/5years old and the calibration probably gets asjusted 2/3 times a year
Why don't you have a quick google before making stupid comments?
