They can't do that  ??? Was gunna ratchet strap a tank in . I've pushed it right up to the bulkhead for the time being . Anyone got any suggestions . I've just noticed  2 solid looking anchor point hooks below the bulkhead but surely there should be more near the rear doors

On the back wheel arches?

Those anchor points aren't very strong.

I would approach an engineering workshop and ask them to weld these on a thick steel plate that can be bolted through the floor with larger spreader plates underneath. If you design them right, ie., high tensile bolts to the front and rear, they could be mounted through the van's chassis, also with a spreader plate.

They need to be mounted so they swivel. The eye of the ring needs to be a 90 degrees to the securing straps.

Just looked, 2 on the wheel arches but they are the same as by the seats a bit of bent wire tack welded to the sheet steel

Thanks Darran . Saves me ripping the ply off . So you think those are no good for strapping a tank in . Cheers barry .

No they aren't.

Look around the area you live in for a vehicle body builder or coach builder.  (A company that would build and fit small tipper bodies on Transits for example.)

If you can't find anyone, phone a local Ford dealership (or other marque) that has a commercial van dept. Ask them who they outsource van modifications to which aren't able to be done in-house.

Arnold Clark is a good example of what to look for.

Securing your tank correctly could mean your life in an accident. We hope that it never happens, but this is one thing you have to get right.

Personally, I would look at what GrippaTank and PureFreedom have to offer.
