Backpacks are when full . Gunna have to put it on a sack truck for the lad . Can't expect him to carry that . Has I always work with a tap on the bottom of the pole , I was looking at some rectus taps that look the business . I'm thinking it would be easy for him to pop the hose off the tap and then he can wrap the extra 10 metres of hose round the trolley when he's done . Anyone else do that  , cheers barry

i used a gardiners flow valve on the end of the backpack hose  & a 8mm stem to 6 mm barb on the end of the pole hose, i got a little handle welded to the sacktruck just to hang the coiled pole hose on

I don't know why you guys insist on working daily with back packs or trolleys,

You have a choice of pulling a hose out and attaching the pole hose to it to do the job

Pulling a small hose out to fill barrells or back pack waiting around to fill and then going back to work carrying or pulling it along. It makes no sense. Ok there's a window in a court yard and a have to carry my back pack through. Maybe happens once in a blue moon.

I simply open the back door grab hold of a brush and take the end of the hose with me, no lifting anything hose reel is nicely secured and a doddle to wind back in

Not quite. This is my setup.



This works very well for me as all my work is residential. Like you my work is quite compact and I'm never far from my vehicle. This method means I don't have to take either hand off the pole to operate it and I can work very quick as a result with very minimal waste of water which is important when working with a limited supply such as a backpack or trolley. The small loop of hose with the male rectus connector on it is to protect the trigger from hose snags as this can snap the connector off the trigger rendering it useless. My 25 footer is set up without the loop but that is because it doesn't get use all day everyday.



These two triggers are now over two years old and I've had no problems with either of them.
