I use alltec pro mite, albeit not that often as I don't get much demand but it's on my van.

You can kill dust mites with standard insecticides such as Chemtreat. However it is futile as it is virtually impossible to get a product which would reach every mite as they can live deep within mattresses, pillows etc.
Tests have been done using various systems, products and methods and it is virtually impossible to totally eradicate the allergens from dustmites. The allergen is actually the faeces from the mites.
Cleaning at 60 degress with any standard detergent will kill dust mites but they will be back within days. Best course of action for anyone suffering asthma is to carry out regular cleaning and use barrier covers on mattresses etc.

John would an "ozone generator" not work on dust mites?

It would probably kill any surface dwelling critters but as with other treatments not very efficient at dealing with deep bedded mites. And as I said its the allergen that needs getting rid of as the mites themselves are virtually impossible to eradicate.
