I've been a long time swiveller - love them. I've used the Gardiners swivels since they came out but fitted a couple of swivels with their little brush plate that puts the swivel right on the brush, never thought they made much difference, until I grabbed a brush and resineck from the van with the screw in type socket. I couldn't understand why I couldn't get on with it to begin with - brush seemed really unstable flopping about all over the place, drove me nuts then it dawned on my why.More plates to order .This little beauty http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/poles-systems/poles-brushes-goosenecks/brushes/goosenecks-pole-fittings/gooseneck-parts/swivel-brush-socket.html
I remember now one of the reasons I didn't like the swivel neck. I find that when I come across baked on bird muck I can apply a bit more pressure with one side of the brush by twisting the pole to help scrub it off. However, with a swivel attached I can't do that as all that happens is that the brush turns. I don't like any kind of scraper fitted to my pole/brush. Is there a way round this?
Is hot water the only solution to the bird muck problem when using a swivel with a brush? I don't use hot water most of the year. But I wouldn't mind giving the swivel another go if I can see a way round this problem.
Oi! isn't it about time you got a job?
