Samson have you had a bad experience using ladders or something as sounds like you are really scared to use them now?
It's compulsory for the likes of sky installers to use this system now and many other firms employees too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JSxy43fnPA.
I also use the same system when required.

I purchased my laddermax mutipro corner standoff direct from the manufactures here http://www.buyladder-max.com/ladder-max-multi-pro-for-corners-more-ladder-standoff-stabilizer/ as you can't get them in the UK.

Best contact them via email for a price including shipping. If you are lucky the chap will throw in a few extras for you too.
Also expect to pay another 30 squid on import duty once it arrives in the UK before it's delivered to you.

For the majority of my ladder work though I prefer to use a microlite standoff instead but is no good on corners hence why I brought one.  Also I prefer to use an ankalad fitted to bps triple ladders with the wide stabaliser bar fitted at the bottom of the ladder as don't tend twist like normal standard ladders when using them. Makes good solid contact with the surface too being a wider footprint and all.

Myself I find it rather odd if cleaners offer a gutter clearing service using a guttervac then they also should be prepared to use ladders if/when required and safe to do so too. Yes you can take risks using a normal ladder or minimise the risk especially working on your own by using the appropriate kit for the job in hand. The biggest killer is when a ladder moves suddenly caused by slippage and/or overreaching but the type of setup I use the ladder is not going to go anywhere if set properly.
