I've got an idea which might solve the access issue
« on: August 18, 2015, 02:44:02 pm »
What if we pay for an universal key which can open any door at any house? I think they cost about £100-£150 each. If you're in an area like me where all houses are pretty much terraced then it will save you lot of hussle. Do you think this can work?

I think it's called a battering ram, usually wielded by burly men in dark blue uniforms who use it then rush into the building shouting "POLICE - STAND STILL" ;D

This is the window cleaning forum, mate, not the burglary forum (though an easy mistake to make sometimes).

Makes you wonder why Locksmiths bother if a "universal key" will unlock any door at any house.  ::)roll

I have an old style garden gate / shed lock key that gets me in so many of my customers gardens it's hilarious. Had a customer fit a new lock to their gate just last week. She said 'you won't be able to get in any more unless we're here.' I said 'can I try this key?' It fitted and she was dumbfounded. They've known me for years so weren't too worried that I could get in but we're a bit shocked that their new lock was so easily opened.

That reminds me of my old berlingo van as you could open any door with any key you wanted as the locks where knackered ;D

I just don't get why a cleaner would you want to get into someone’s house covertly without the owners permission…
Sounds very odd to me  ???
