By compatible, what do you mean? Weight, rigidity, ease of use etc?
I found my 18 foot CL-X acceptable on weight and rigidity, but I suffered my 22 footer for too long. Very whippy. It did the job but required a lot more effort than my current 25 foot SL-X. I suppose if you weren't using it fully extended most of the time it would be ok. There are quite a few on here that use them as their everyday poles.

Compatible as in fitting a clx extension 6 instead of buying the slx extension at around £20 more.

Ah, sorry Allan, that I can't help you with. Perhaps a call to Gardiners is in order

Sorry me also, I thought you meant you already had a clx extension hence why I said try it.
If it is only £20 more, I'd just raid the piggy bank.

As I said I'm penny pinching.
The previous extension was stolen from the back of the pickup and I don't want to spend to much on window cleaning equipment right now so I was hoping with this being a pro Gardiner website that someone would have known.
I was also half expecting someone to say JUST BUY AN EXTREME!  :)

I also think the red pole would be easier to see if left on the grass etc.

The CLX Extension No.6 is compatible in size with the SLX22  :)

I saved the piggy bank and ordered the CLX ex6 which has paid for 5L of resin.
I've spent enough in the last 3 or 4 months and as it stands it's only going to be used once per month.

That's right I'm Scottish. The great inventors of Whisky, Telephone, The steam engine and apparently cooper wire!

As my granny would say "Yer Penny wise and Pound foolish".  ;)
