How do you get pressure washing work?
« on: August 10, 2015, 05:17:37 pm »
Pressure washing, really enjoy doing it but cant get any work, thinking of binning it off.

Looking on keyword tool and pressure washing/patio cleaning/driveway cleaning/driveway cleaning etc are pretty low searched terms compared with say window cleaning or carpet cleaning.

Any other easy ways to pick up wor, im not going to canvass or leaflet for it as not that bothered, does anyone have success from the website alone?

Not bothered in terms of work if i drop it, happy doing windows/connys/cars etc but i do like blasting stuff but cant find owt to blast

Local free magazine, Facebook Business, leaflet drop, optimised website  . . . .  you are right with searched terms though, we get fort times as many gutter cleaning jobs as pressure washing from same advert.

Couldn't cope with cleaning dirty smelly rotten flea bitten old carpets, and expecting you to get them looking new  ;D

It helps if customers know you offer driveway & patio cleaning for a start as if they don't they may look elswhere for a quote.
People just come to me mostly from recommendations...I give them a quote and do the job. It's as simple as that really.
Some like to put ad boards out after domestic drive cleaning for so many weeks but I can't be arsed with all that myself.

Best you don't turn up with a diy karcher type washer though  ;D

Trouble with putting boards out, there is a good chance someone will trip over em and make a claim !    If you have good sign written van people will call.      A woman collared us other day for gutter cleaning, cos she saw we were fully insured on the van.

Did not the alarm bells ring as to why?  ;D

I prefer never to advertise I'm fully insured as you never know with chancers that want to try it on to make a fast buck.  ::)roll
Speaking of being fully insured what type of cover do you have?

I get walk ups to the van, but not at prices i want to work for, maybe im just not in the right area.

As for insurance i have public liability, one day i will be able to afford something better.
