im about to get a contract cleaning bus stops down, i already use the wfp window cleaning system and have a 700 litre tank in the van but i want to buy a cheapish petrol pressure washer to try out as well as my wfp, can anyone recommend a cheap but half decent pressure washer looking to spend around £2-300 if that would get me anything.
i suppose it doesnt have to be something extreme as its only washing down bus stops and im probably looking for something thats just in a frame as it will be sat in the van.
any advice would be great.
I ran one of these for 3 years + . I used it for washing shop front doorways, shutters etc. And latterley it spent its time washing trucks, running for hours a day.
The supplied hose is not very good, as in it doesn't last long. Its a cheapish plastic hose, so i replaced it with a twin wire hose. Their weak point is over heating. When the engine/pump is running and the trigger is not depressed the water will just circulate in the pump, getting hotter and hotter. If you let it get too hot and you pull the trigger then the influx of cold water into the hot pump will cause the alloy head and brass fitments to contract at different speeds leading to a crack in the alloy housing. If you're aware of this and don't let it sit idling they're fine. I got to over three years before i cracked my pump head. And they're available as spares for about £30.
And of course i ran it out my van feedig of my water tank.
