[creighton foyle]

i went to clean this sofa this morning a two seater (pictured) and a three seater . the job was to clean both sofas and touch up the THREE seater which is in the conservatory.  i started to clean the one in the picture and the first seat was ok but the paint has come off on the one pictured and i don't know why.

initially i wasn't worried because i had sent for some matched paint from furniture clinic to do the the other suite but when i got the paint out they had sent me what i think is the base colour not the top coat.  am i right in thinking the lighter colour that shows under the paint that has rubbed off is the base colour and the paint that has actually rubbed off is the darker colour ? as i am beginning to doubt myself.

I know we all make mistakes and if the wrong paint has been sent its just one of those things but when i left the customer promising to come back next week to fix the problem i got the feeling he thought i had just ruined his suite and was doing a runner.

Looks same as my suite,  the top colour on mine has completely worn off

Top coat has worn away leaving the brighter base coat below
Can get this mixed for you no problem - speak to you next week

Can this be repaired, ie. re painted without using an air brush?

It can Dave using what we call a dry wipe method but probably not so easy and often need an airbrush to blend in
