Fantastic Gutter Vac !
« on: August 08, 2015, 12:56:22 am »
I know I sound like a stuck record, but the Skyvac is a brilliant machine, made me some easy money.   Did a couple of terraces today next to each other took me 12 minuites  :o   It just sucks all the crap, even the rooted stuff out in a jiffy  ;D

Glad you like it but sorry I still don't see the point as you don't need to spend silly money on a skyvac when a cheap vac can work just as well.

Also try doing this job for an example with it no matter how good the suction is ;D

To be honest we are doing more gutter cleaning now than pressure washing and window cleaning combined, it really is an untapped market !

That's what I thought old Smurf before we bought the machine, and I was really nervous about splashing out over a grand, but I am not bulling you when I say it makes a massive difference to the cleaning.
You are right with some of the jobs you have mentioned, but that is only because of the access issue , but I am trying to make a an angled pole at the top ( a bit like a long swan kneck ) to comabat this.

If you have the right vac and attachments you can do anything  ;)

Sorry I beg to disagree as I know they don't handle pine needles well even using a vac with a 100mm inlet and 50 mm hose as in that example valley job  including all the other valleys and gutters I cleared I filled up 16 large refuse bags.  ;D

Still I would not be without a guttervac but sometimes they are not suitable for the job in hand.

I think we have done about 120 cleans with the new vac, and I have only got the ladders off twice ( Knocked the end caps off ) !

Classic schoolboy error and yes I've done that too  ;D

The best one was the long swan neck fell  off and smashed into bits when it hit the concrete floor. Oops!

Is it a 3kw one?
Impossible done straight away, miracles can take a little longer.

Yes you....I have 3kw one so slightly more powerful but yes a great bit of kit...it's not a Skyvac though.
What's most poles you used on it....haven't had to go above 3 so far and tbh would not want to work with more than 4...it's quite hard and mine are carbon fibre.

The most poles we have used is 6 x 2m poles, and it copes proper good innit !     Trouble when you start going that height is you have very little control over the top of the pole, so instead of the prodding action, you have to drag the pole back and forth,
