Managed to get two people to start delivering the flyers this week.
Looking at 4000 per week to start, so will be monitoring and seeing how it goes.
Looking at repeating same area every 3 months.

I'm out today with my lad delivering leaflets, going to do 2hrs this morning then we are going to tidy up my unit then we are doing 2 hrs this afternoon

Today's job cancelled on Wednesday..... which I don't mind as I've wanted to get stuck into tidying my unit for months

I would repeat the area every month for the first 3 months get your name in their heads plus people will get your leaflet, thinks it's a good idea but forget to call or lose the leaflet..... But if they get another one a month later it will remind them.

Another trick is to get them to do full estates or villages and tell them you want every house doing. Casually mention your brother, mum, sister, best friend etc...etc live in that area and you are visiting them this weekend........so will look for your leaflets

We have a front page A6 add in a local mag which goes out to 64k homes.   Do you think I should leave it running while the delivery is taking place ?
It is going to be a stretch paying for both.

Yes I would, the key to advertising is knowing where your enquiries come from, every call we get we ask where they get our name from.

Leaflet, Google, van, newspaper ad etc..   

These are then logged, not only for the enquiry, but, job value and conversion rates, so we can see if our spend is bringing in revenue.

I wish I could be bothered door knocking, but just don't have the time of energy !    Even thought about training someone up to do it but people genrally don't like their peace being disturbed, so Going to try the leafleters for a year.  we are being a lot more picky which work we take on now, which is always a bonus

Well the young girl has just the first 1k with the help from her mum, and the 53 year old havn't heard from him yet, he had 2k so prob taken him longer.            Not had any inquiries yet, but have a few emails from the " contac us " from the website.
Definately going to keep this going, and we have got a better rate for 10k flyers a month from Peanut at £150 delivered 
Thinking of altering the design, at the moment we have the 3 services - drive cleaning. gutters and window cleaning to just drive and gutter cleaning, but in two minds as we got a large £70 window clean who wants his patio £500 cleaned.

having some canvassing done at the minute, once thats done and sorted im going to get on with leaflets/self employed canvasser.

How you getting on with the leaflets?? Did the people you took on work out well for you. I am thinking of putting a add on gumtree for someone to do this as well + a helping hand with my other work. They now want £20 for the advert these days haha.

One of the people has been very consistent, and we have had a steady stream of work. The other girl is going back to collage, but the other lad wants to cover her area so worked out well.    You will get a lot of messers in reply to your advert, but there are some good people about if you can be bothered to sift through them

Hard to say really cos we have a website, and local add, and I keep forgetting to ask when they ring where they got our info from !      The average I would say is  about 3-4 jobs per 1k
