Yes she did well , clearly heavily edited .   Those dragons always want excessive equity in my opinion.

I thought they didn't do too good Imo. 10 min of free advertising can't be bad though

Great marketing by Judy. Have to give credit where it is due.
You see that more and more on dragons den. With companies just using it to promote their business.
How much would that cost if you were paying for advertising.

How on earth can anyone say she did well ?
She absolutely misled them & all for a measly 60K.
How on earth that small amount of cash would help in that business  mystifies me.

i thought ltt is a well operating business for which 60k in cash or loan should not be a problem
I say they are not sure enough of how it will go, this business, so better to try with somebody else money.
or simply used program not to get investor and just advertise

The dragons werent born yesterday believe it or not.
If they did use the episode or advertising, it was bad advertising imo.

Just watched it. Can't say I was impressed, probably a second agenda at work.

btw. do you actually think that this is any good idea for business? Dont think so, we have a customer that buy expensive hand bag as has loads of money and if hand bag is worn then buys another one, would not even look after the restoration service, to much hassle to them, then we have middle class and even lower class who would not pay >150 for it as purchased the bag on offer for around 300-500 pounds and will wait for another offer as the old bag is out of fashion anyway.
there is no market for it enough to make money
theres big companies like leather clinic and others and if theres market then would be already filled
why pay to franchise for such a thing if you can add it you your existing furniture and clothes restoration service.

Radek, people will pay good money, thousands in fact, to have their bags re-coloured repaired. Furniture Clinic near us are a lot bigger than LTT. They have a full Mezzanine floor which they have just installed at a cost of £250k, dedicated to handbag restoration. They have aalso opened a shop on the Kings Road in Chelsea solely dealing in handbag repairs. They have actually had to have a very large safe installed as some of these bags are worth in excess of £20k. As well as this they have opened depots in Sheffield, Birmingham and New York.  Ben is some guy and a very nice bloke.

The presentation and business plan was appalling!  I have no doubt the BBC edited it and I have no doubt she will get more business but regarding an investment she had no chance!  If she secretly had a second agenda to advertise her business then as Derek said she will have benefited.

The point i was making was, she could of got a deal, she was offered a deal if she put in the repair side but she politely declined it, if she went there to get a dragon then for 60k she could of had one, if she went there for some free publicity then she got it.
