Ultimate Master
« on: July 16, 2015, 07:45:13 am »
Been trialling this stuff today on 3 jobs, all 2 room downstairs jobs one well trashed.
As well as wanting to see how it performs wanted to see what time saving effect having the pre spray in the tank would be.
It's definitely quicker....pre sprayed both rooms with the wand, agitated first room , wand into first room, agitate second room, side rotary then extract first room then second room then pack away.
Impossible done straight away, miracles can take a little longer.

Guys, I used the citrus pre-spray two weeks ago on a real stinker of a job... agitated, even before I extracted the dirt had lifted.  had UM in my machine nice and hot and the carpets came up fantastic.

Did an experiment last week on three mingers, just used the citrus  pre-spray and just had hot water in my extractor ( not a lover of putting powders through my machine)... They came up like new.   I have got rid of my spm to make room for the big tub of UM and bottles of C/spray.   C/Spray for me does all the work, no need for loads of other cleaners.  Apart from Dynamall for all the commercial, bonetting etc.

How well did the UM work as a pre-spray? Not used UM as a pre-spray.

ive been using this a lot, in different ways.  as prespray mixed with citrus pre spray on mingers, as pre spray on its own, and also just used from the tank on decent carpets,  im finding it faultless, absolutetely love the stuff............ very economical to use, also no de foamer needed and the results are very very pleasing.........  try it!!!!

Try it Darren on a one roomer next time you do one.
Put maybe 15 liters in your tank and add the appropriate amount of UM.
Straight  in with wand and hose and lay it down then agitate and extract.
Because you have you hose etc already set up it's a lot quicker, I'll be using it for all one roomers now.
Oh and it works well as a pre spray.

I used to use um in 2003 also thier promite and traffic lane .

Since then I have tried chemspec, solutions , hydra master, prochem and odd tubs of odds and sods .

And my findings are they are all excellent if used in the correct system . Ie pre vac and edges , pre treat, Pe spray , agitate and dwell then extract with good heat , then pad if needed .

We all just go round in circles .
I use at the moment mpower and it works well for me and if it dosent I use something else which is rare as i know mpowers limatations so opt for a different solution .

85% is operater experiance.

At the moment I have f90 ,mpower, shockwave ,and dynamall never been stuck yet

not tried shockwave, may give it a go for the bad ones,  but im really loving um at the moment, also use enzall/f90 combo, thats rather good as well, as you say, we go round in circles, always looking for something better........    for me, at the moment, um/citrus prespray takes some beating................ all depending on the job of course...............

Is the liquid as good as the powdered version.

I was using liquid UM today with powdered UM as a prespray. Worked really well It got out loads of or-sorted spots and stains with no extra spotting. Liquid UM cant really be used in the same way as Powdered UM according to Alltec. However i have tried it out as a prespray on some little off cuts and rugs and it worked fine.

Liquid UM can withstand the high heat better and is used on truckmounts as a chemical feed in the last rinse.I've found that sometimes my chemical solution feed blocks up with powdered versions in the past with other makes of final rinsing. I think it's because of the fillers that are put in the powders................please note I use a truckmount so have not used the UM powdered but I am sure it's just as good as you say for a portable
I have ordered a case of the liquid version and a case of the citrus pre-spray too to try it out with the hydroforce.
I have used the citrus pre-wash for upholstery for about 9 months now for upholstery and it's great.....use it with a hand mitt with the green stripe to agitate and it's fantastic.
If you order a case on the day then it's 25% off................... no brainer.
Starts at the bottom likes it and stays there

Think the liquid is more for a tm system.  Powder more for mobile extraction machines. Got told it's not as good as the powder, but Like I said before, just using the citrus pre-spray is good enough, and have nice hot water only in your extraction machine to rinse.

I used UM powder in my portable for years, superb product. have also used it as my main base chem in my truck mounts for the last 12 years without any blockages or problems, everything always clean as a whistle. I think those that have suffered issues with the powder version in TMs seem to be in 'hard water' areas. We are in a 'soft water' area.
