Restoring your machine plastic

  50% Linseed oil  and 50% white spirit

  Well i stole the tip off the internet  , google linseed oil and thinners and u see plenty of examples for plastic . It does seem to work better that other products i tried though .
Just rub it on .

Flame polishing is the best way but it does require some level of skill as the difference between a polish and a melt is a very short time.
Having welded vinyl floors for years it is something that I have mastered, and deep scratches can be removed with that skill. But even with a hot hairdryer many surface scratches can be removed quite easily and without the dangers of welders.

If that's the case then an enhancing sealer will do the same thing.  The oil is changing the surface tension and the thinners is the transport system to get it into the plastic.  Very old technology to use as a penetrating sealer in the old days but the oil never cures where as the sealer does

I use auto glim vinyl / plastic restorer, dead easy just spray it on and wipe off
