salt, calcium ? on brickwork

Cleaned gfs and driveway on Wednesday and also used the fsg on the wall to remove the white salt marks. Returned Thursday to finish of windows in the area and sand the drive.... There is now more white stuff!
The fsg has obviously made the brick wet causing more to be drawn out.
What is the remedy.

Efflorescence remover..try and not saturate the wall when washing it off.

It will keep coming through if you soak the wall so try dry brushing it off and apply like chris said an Efflorescence Remover

This is an example of a pressure washing job gone badly wrong...thank god it was not me....
Nor I was the property owner as I would have gone mental. ;D

Acetic  acid at about 20% purity will cure it

In order to cure efflorescence you have to stop either of the three things that it needs to manifest itself:
Water
Source of the salts
The route. 

Cut any one of the 3 off and the efflorescence is sorted.  If you wet it the problem will exacerbate.  If you clean and efflorescence appears simply brush it with a dry brush.  Wet it with anything and you feed it!  Efflorescence prevention is better than cure.

:o That makes me feel better.
I wasn't charging extra for the wall and I'm going to apply fungicidal wash to the moss around the base next time in the area so if I can reduce the white stuff at the front he'll be happy. Its all around the sides and back including his conservatory but it's just the front he thinks is unsightly.

Thanks, I'll have a look in B&Q for it.
I said to him that the water probably drew it out and I would need to do my 'homework' before I'm back in the area.

I was at a house today  and the salt  crystals on the walls was rock hard.

It had been leaching out of the walls for years.
