Trailers, buy or rent?
« on: June 17, 2015, 08:00:40 pm »
Anyone using a trailer for Pressure washing etc. I would probably need an 8x4 as I've got a scaffolding tower I would want to use on some jobs and could do with a 1000l IBC. Renting would cost £25 per day, to buy new £1500-2200 and 4 years old serviced including vat around £1000. Just can't make my mind up whether to buy used as I have no idea about potential costs. ???

Provided you've got somewhere secure to keep it, I would say buy one as there's not much to go wrong on them and they hold their value plus your not rushing to have it back at a certain time.

I would love a trailer, but I just don't have the space to keep one.    Thought of buying a little one that can be picked up, and stored in the shed.

Alan,

I might have a trailer coming up for sale. Its got a water tank built into it, and two compartments (one front and one back)
It's a trafalgar trailer that used to have a hot water machine in it. Will come complete with all the hoses run etc if you wanted to plumb your machine into it. Tank is 600L

Trailer is an IFOR Williams. I'll be wanting around a grand for it. Its in good nick, tyres are all like new, no rust, hitch is great, tows very well.

Similar to this, except there is no stickers, its all Galvanised metal. Hinges and locks work good and all gas struts work well.
Its a bit bigger than the picture and the slopey bit at the front is shaped a bit different but you get the picture.
