« on: June 15, 2015, 06:19:34 pm »
Hi
Going to have a regular orders from local shop for anti-stain treatments, so trying to make a price for them.
Chemspec for upholstery dillute 2:1, so it makes 15L of solution from one container.
How many litres of ready to use solution will I use for average Sofa set incl 5 seats.

And what solvent based protector would you recommend?

Radek fabrics are different just enough to dampen the fabric. Use an 8001 tip for upholstery.

1 to 1.5 litres should do you a full suite. The Craftex aerosols are a good solvent product one and a half cans will do a suite.

John what sprayer would you recommend for stain shield.

Would this be suitable

At the moment we have some protect nano left ones that used up will go over to Chemspec.

We use an orion sprayer but it all plastic and a bit fragile.

Sorry Radek don't recall that. Ray that is a great sprayer. The hand gun allows close control on upholstery.

John was asking about the craftex two jet floor wand, if would be any good for start on vacuuming dirt and slurry from the flors if used with the Sabrina machine. Would like not to buy a proper vacuum for now due to having no space in my van. Buying a small vacuum would be a wasting money as on some stage I will be looking after some 3 motors vacuum for bigger jobs.

Yep its fine to work with the Sabrina. It is low powered and will only work up to about 250 psi so no good for high power porty or truckmount but fine for Sabrina.

just realized what can you are talking about, would refer not to use it as looks not professional to spray from a can  :)  people who buy from that furniture shop which is most expensive here have money and will be looking after "professional approach"
Is the 5L container, solvent based any good? http://www.restormate.co.uk/epages/15094.sf/sec4ce4b0fb04/?ObjectPath=/Shops/15094/Products/0031    ???

when putting protector on a suite, I use just a normal empty 500ml bottle with a trigger spray, comes out in a fine mist and cost nothing, I use my empty spotting liquid bottles, I always put my protector through a sieve first so never get any blockages, I use a pump up 4 litre  solo sprayer for carpet protection, have no clue what the nozzle size is, I use the one that comes with the sprayer, I think you can get a bit arsey about what jet/nozzle to use, anyhow works for me...I always use a pump up orion 1.5 litre for applying pre spray , I mix it up warmish because if its to hot then it wont spray properly or Knackers the o ring inside, I would like to know if there is a pump up 1.5 that I can mix really hot liquid in, I tried the solo 1.5 but didn't like it, it kept falling over because the bottom isn't flat enough

Radek Chemspec recommend 8001 for upholstery, if your doing a good number of seats for shop invest in a Gloria. Johns usage correct just spray north and South  .
I personally wouldn't mist it on unless your wearing a mask.
Do aprox 100 seats a month for a London importer and  find this works well.
If your just doing the odd protect and clean Colin's method would be more cost effective and saves lugging round all the gear.
