Bought this of a guy on this site about a month and a bit ago before i even had a pressure washer so took his word for it that it worked

Anyway got myself a PW this week and just tested it, leaks and does not work - mug me for not seeing it working I know.

Couple of photos to show my problems - it sprays water straight from the little hole shown in photo and out of the bar where it is threaded. How do I fix this or can I.

ALL help will be much appreciated, as I have a load of drives to do next week and really want this working.

I can help with some of this the leaking bar just needs to be tightened, or better still wind it off and put new ptfe tape on the thread then screw back in,  this one of the joys I have found when making new bits of kit, is that things leak easily !!

I'm sure I have the same fsc ( turbo devil  ) but not seen that little hole

However I think it is more in depth than that. If waters leaking from that hole it means waters getting into the head and bearings. Could need a new head as probably a crack in the metal work somewhere.

Thanks guys - tried to remove bar but worried about damaging it with the mole grips.

It's got North Star printed on it

Bar should be stainless steel, you'd have a job damaging it, if you are worried about marking it put a piece of sand/emery paper round the bar before clamping with mole grips

If that is the tell tale or bypass hole then you may have an inlet seal issue which on a sealed head may be an issue but to be honest not too familiar with the North Star Kit

Anyone got a rotary for sale

This is just not going to put enough water to the jets for me to use. It now spins but leaks from the hole and bar - racked off now for being a prat and not seeing it working before parting with my money.

Is probably the seals.

Hopefully as Ben said it will come apart and be a cheap fix
 A new head will probably set you back a couple of hundred

Took it apart and pretty sure this should have a nice little seal around it. Tried to get one local but no luck.
Anyone know where I can get one please.

I had one of these, you need a new o ring I cant remember what size they take but one out of a ebay selection kit fitted but didn't last very long before leaking again so I gave it away in the end.

As a quick fix.  If you have a  old inner tube from a pw frame wheel or  bycicle wheel then cut that to size and double/triple it up for endurance.  That should seal it

Just cannot get a o ring to fit this as it needs to be flush so basically a flat one. Tried the inner tube method  - lasted all of 2 minutes then started leaking again. Doe any one know who in the UK distributes this rotaries, or where I may be able to get a flat o ring that will fit it.

Still cant see the reason for the hole to be honest, but it must be there for a reason.
