I've also been experiencing the same over the last 2 years approx. Resin has dropped in quality substantially. I've been through them all & they're all pretty rubbish now. Just used a bag of Ionics & this was the worst I've used in the 12 years I've been using resin!! I'm back onto Tulsion now from Daqua as they indicate that there are two streams of Tulsion into the UK which could potentially differ in quality so this bag will qualify whether this is correct or not I'm hoping.  Dowex MB50 used to be great but you cannot buy it economically anymore- it was as good as Tulsion used to be.

The purolite resin was excellent 1st bag lasted over 2yrs 2nd bag which had been left outside lasted over 1 yr and my water usage had gone by at least 50%.
Tried tulsion from Da qua this was ok lasted 12 month but didn't  stay at 0 tds for long
Tried the ionics would not even bring tds to 0 sent it back tried the indion from vyair this is also garbage now got replacement bag   of tulsion from ionics not good . :'(
