morning.  I've had a client who would like me to look at removing this graffiti on a painted wall. The paint is also flaking in areas . Can someone please advise me on the best approach  for this and maybe a rough time and price.

It is bricks that shouldn't have been painted really in the first place!

Personally I would tell the client he is better to get a decorator in and I would walk away because whatever you do to that wall it is going to need repainting anyway

Be cheaper to repaint it I would have thought.

Get a decorator to give you a price to paint it then you can wash it and remove all the green and flakes. Depending on what work you have you can eithger paint it or get the decorator in

I did mention that too him but he didn't really seem bothered about the paint coming off. So would £200 be reasonable for the graffiti removal .
but also tell him if it looks odd with paint missing it aint my fault.

I would jet wash it and kill the algae , then repaint the wall. Removing the graffiti is not practical or even possible without removing the paint underneath. It would look terrible if you just tried to remove the graffiti.
Either that or a full paint strip, but that would be costly!

It would probably be very hard work to get all the paint off!   It is one of those jobs "Shall I"  "Shan't I"  Let's face it eve3n if you got it all off and got it immaculate some scrot is just gonna Graff it again anyway

You're right. But it's a possibility for the customer. I would suggest clean and repaint. A full paint strip would be so expensive no one would go for it. It would have to be a go away price for a paint strip.

Your not kidding either we stripped that paint off brick at Bourneville Retirement Homes.  Only 6 small garden walls and it took two of us a week.  We used a pressure washer with the Mosmatic FSC first and then a Klindex Vertika fitted with an SIC Brush!

Or you coulda just used a hot jet wash and some DCM Stripper and knocked it on the head in 2 days

Waterbased  applied with a  Graco. £30per sqm

I used a Falch T3 300 Bar at around 75/80 Degrees with a Mosmatic Hand Held  FSC with Vacuum Take off and still had to use a specialised Vertical rotary fitted with a SIC Brush afterwards.  DCM Stripper has zero effect on the type of paint I was stripping trust me

Ok thanks for all your advice gonna give him a price of £200  . Will apply graffsolve then   will scrub down with hot water then pressure wash off on low pressure .then see how that goes then maybe repeat. .

hi all. Got the graffiti removal job so gave it a treatment today . Used graffsolve to remove  most of the graffiti  gave it a good scrub too. I need to go back for another go.
but might use another graffiti remover . Spoke to Richard at tensid uk very helpful.
But not sure which one to go for to remove remaining graffiti.  Can anyone recommend one.
