Honda Pressure Washer - Advice
« on: May 31, 2015, 03:13:12 pm »
I have been offered a Honda Pressure Washer GX620 V Twin, 20BHP, with 3 lances, 40metres of hose, 300bar and 20 Litres a minute.  They want £2495 + VAT!  Is it worth the money?  The VAT is no problem as I am VAT registered

Firstly thats what they cost new.

Second be aware they they consume 7-8 Litres of petrol per hour at full revs..... that Honda is VERY thirsty a 15 Litre tank lasts about two hours compared to the 4 hours on 9 litres for the briggs......

Added to which a brand new Briggs is only £2400 plus VAT with the same extras........

On a side note if you are putting one together yourself this is a 300 Bar pump so EVERY fitting you use must be rated for continuous use over 400 Bar. High pressure his VERY dangerous  :)

I wouldn't pay that for it.....

The stainless frame and use of remote electrics won't help on the price but If I were to price the same components for us to build a machine it would come no where near £4500 Just my opinion but the sale price on that should be £2450 new.

You can buy a 500 Bar THOR for £5000

CAT pump parts are the most expensive so the price of the pump adds a bit to the price but only about £200

The big Honda twins are just too thirsty - even Loncin are more economical!

Actually that's the only reason we don't sell them :) good engine though
