I had been using a Aerial brush due to poor longevity of Gardiners sill and extreme brushes and I think the aerial brush is superb, but very expensive. I decided to buy the new supreme brushs as these ticked all the boxes for me for weight size and price, but the quality of the bristles is still very poor and last no time at all. It's a shame because it's a lovely brush to use. I am now going to try the cline brush as these are getting excellent reviews and is similar in weight to the brushes I have been using.
Here are pictures of my aerial brush and supreme brush that I have used. Both are used in exactly the same manor with the same technique, so it cannot be put down to operator error.

The supreme brush looked like this after 20 days use, I only work 3/4 days a week

The aerial brush is 8 months old!!!

I have found this to be the case with the Supreme soft. I also have a medium which so far seems grand, although I sometimes wonder what's the difference between this and some other Gardiner brushes. I've always thought there are too many brushes on the market, jeez it's only brushing glass.

Yeah it does seem wasteful when after a few months use the whole brush including jets, stock and bristles gets binned.
I wonder if there were a design of brush that could be incorporated so that the bristle stock could be easily and economically replaced with less waste?

Bugger they nicked my idea.

Scrubbing bird muck with one side off the brush will cause that did that with mine today .

I much prefer a soft brush now , looks like I will have to  refit my G-Scraper .

The medium supreme holds up a lot better . Which I also assume the Aerial brush is of similar bristle configuration thus more longevity .

I have been using a Gardiner supreme soft hybrid.

Loved the way it cleaned on the glass for the first few months.
I compromised with extra weight compared to the extreme brushes i was using.
Thinking the supreme would last a lot longer.

The supreme has deteriorted rapidly on the third month of using.
I am thinking i might as well of continued using the extreme.

I know this has been discussed before but these brushes need to last a lot longer for the price.

What the hell are people doing to brushes.

I would estimate a sill brush to last me up to a year or longer. I used a sill brush from May of last year until supreme's came out. Used 70-80% of the time and its fine. Loads of life left in it.

A supreme brush 6 - 12 months i am hoping.

Over cleaning or the wrong brush used for the type of window if people are knackering brushes this quick.

Prior to this brush I did only need 2 brushes. SL flocked for first cleans con roofs and facias, and an aerial brush for maintenance cleans and they did exactly what I needed them to. This supreme brush is only used for maintained cleans on any type of window,  there isn't a windows type this brush shouldn't be suitable for on a maintance clean.

For years now gardiner brushes loose their shape far too quickly, I don't know why I thought this would be any different.

Funny, I was only thinking last week how ragged my Supreme soft was looking  - even more splayed than normal. I've bought a flocked version to try too.  The medium looks very nice but I haven't  got round to using it much yet.

I've found a slight reduction in bristle length improves longevity. It's quite easy to trim an Xtreme brush down but not sure about a Supreme.

I find that sticking my sill brush bristles into my lawnmower blades doesn't do them any good, it's good for cleaning windows though

Stiff Extremes last very weĺl but don't remove the snail trails quite as well.

The medium hybrid holds its shape a bit better then the soft.
My soft started looked rough after just a couple of weeks, the medium has now had a good 8 or 9 weeks solid use and looks OK still, maybe just a few signs it's on its way out.
3 months out of brush is more then enough for something that is used daily for maintenance cleans so the medium ticks the boxes for me.
Iv now bought a soft flocked which sits on my second pole to be used for leaded windows only so hopefully will last a while.

Actually we should all have 3 brushes..
Medium hybrid for regular cleans on standard windows
Soft hybrid or flocked for leaded and sash windows
Flocked sill brush for fascias, con roofs etc.

I have 3 poles with each of these brushes on so can just grab what I need for the task at hand!

If you've got 6 brushes and you've been using them a year, you've effectively only been using them a couple of months too.

The Gardiner brushes aren't the toughest but IMO the added costs are worth it. I've tried lots of others which all have pros and cons, you could sacrifice lightness for longevity but I think you're better off using the best brushes you can get your hands on, within reason.

Best brush I've used for standard maintenance cleans is the new supreme, it's awesome. I'll keep trying others though, got to see what's out there.

Well, turns out the supreme brushes only last a couple of months. Great brush but like all the other Gardiner's brushes the longevity is poor.

Might try the Ariel brush that Lee GLS posted. Expensive but look good.
