I'm looking at picking up carpet cleaning. Been looking at a few machines but Ashbys Enforcer really catches my eye, is there anything better on the market?

Also can anyone recommend training courses in the somerset area... need some training and experience.

Cheers

Hi Thomas

The nearest Training to you is probably Solution (Cornwall) with Ken Wainwright.

If you are interested in Ashby's machine try and do some training with them.

The other option is NCCA   a generic course not affiliated with a manufacture.

Best for what?
 Best for cord optimization?  Possibly!
Best vacuum? NO (unless John's boosted version)
Best pump? Not exactly, but certainly more then enough for cc and its coated if thats a real benefit?
decent auto fill/apo - yes
Best looking- matter of opinion
easy loading/manoeuvrability - cant comment but looks well designed.
Best price?  Fully spec'd with recommended hose/tools pack my quote was over £4k so not imo.

Its too heavy! Its fibreglass, it dosent load on your van as easily as other machines its more expensive than most other machines
and they are the good points

I've heard good things about the ninja? ...But then i've heard good and bad things about the jag. I don't really want to spend like 4k on machine and equipment and be disappointed with it  ???

I've just come off the phone after speaking to Russ, he is buzzing about his enforcer! Not a bad word for it, I am going round Steve gunns place to have a play with his, then I will probably order one if its as good as everyone says , I  like the fact that its got an in tank heater, very few machines have these days, and also an inbuilt V2 heater together with a gravity pump out waste tank and a soft start motor start up it loads very easily into your van  and it looks very proffesional

Stuart, im sure its a great machine I just cant get my head around it performing so well with the 2 motors in series setup.

My airflex came in matching spec and even at just 50' it was pretty tame. Switched to parralell and runs much nicer I find

I am the same as you mate on series verses parallel so I am yet to be blown away by the Enforcers power ! The guys who ive spoken to have all had machines set in parallel and they all favour the Enforcer now,so its suck it and see realy Steve barnet had a tripple airflex and he prefers his enforcer, russ and steve will tell you its the best machine they ha s owned, and then there is John Martin
this guy knows what he is talking about and has built his own booster system, you might be better trying it yourself before making a purchase

Almost made my mind up about going for the Enforcer. I'm trying to pick extras i would need, wand ect...

What sort of attachments are a must? Also what about low moisture? Cimex?

Stuart, interested to hear what you make of it,  some very established and experienced users giving it the thumbs up and they should know!

I didnt pursue this machine purely on price, maybe il get round to trying when I change machines in a few years...

to be honest nobody I've spoken too has a bad word for it, got got enough power, heat and good capacities
a lot of hwe machines these days have water/ solution pumps well over 600 psi but its a bit of a waste realy, my scorpion has a 800 psi pumpbut I rarely go over 250 psi

Stuart ,different luke lol but I also have 2 enforcers. I'm happy with both of them. Really well designed machines and have plenty of suction. I like the way that when the motors start up there is a slight delay so as not to have a massive surge which can sometimes trip sensitive fuse boxes. The enforcer slides in to most vans and cars so easily and is probably the easiest I ever used or had to lift in and out and move etc.  I was cleaning today with both on around 120ft and  the carpet was just as dry as the last time I cleaned using my Tm.  I only have the emersion heaters on mine as I find this is hot enough for most jobs altho I have a external steam mate. I also have Ashbys vac boosters but I very rarely go over 300psi when cleaning.

I would only consider a Cimex if you do a lot of comercial, it a beast and no good for domestic work, in fact if you dont clean very wide open spaces ect I would just buy yourself a slow speed rotary ! I have four rotarys and a Cimex, but I use my Chemspec Chemstractor the most of all

thats encouraging mate, Steve gun said very much the same thing, he said the enforcer had left his stair carpet as dry as using his prowler

not sure but i think all these 800psi machines are  not 800psi at all.
They have the same pump as 500psi machines, press the triger and it goes down to 400-500psi.
What I can see we have a pumptec pumps 500psi and then 1000psi.

Anyone knows and can say how it is for sure?
