Why is it when you post its always a question and its worded like an exam paper type question?

You just want to milk everyone for their knowledge with no contribution yourself

airflex mini with better pump then 130psi , ask to fit 250-300psi and heater on board will be best choice.

Steve, I have the Alltec Express very similar to Airflex Mini, 135psi , twin vac and immersion heater, like you i was considering the  Jag Cub and this.   I'm not a techie  so don't know how they compare on performance but i chose the Express as it had heat.

Mines for sale at the moment in case your interested, only had around 25 hours use since new, if that! Mint condition

Steven
not sure if the cub is anything like the mighty one ? It possibly is but with a bigger vacume, I've always sweared by my Scorpion but if the Jaguar cub is anything like the mighty one I wouldnt bother mate, there again that was nearly eight years ago since I bought it and things might of improved since,  I used it mainly for a bbboster for the Scorpy and although it was a small hwe/ spotting machine the vacume shut offs never worked ! Sorry Ed but thats why I soon sold it on

Just in answer to your question and further clarification.

I was just saying the mighty one wasn't for me ,when used as a spotting machine, I found that water too easily ended up going through the vac motor, but to be honest I bought the mighty primarily as a booster for the scorpion, but having used the Scorpion over the years I just felt I didn't need a booster as my Scorpy was more than powerful

Stuart , its just a long version of the mighty-one  , with the same internals like u said .
Its around for ever as u can from see from this 90's listing ... used to be called the qwik-steam  .
Nothing ever changes with any of these machines except the vacs/pump and they are called something else .

I had a cub and it was a bag of poo the build quality was shocking, people may disagree but that's my opinion.

At what point will they find a way of putting an 8.4 vac in? It's only a matter of time.

p s it was ed that was the first to use 6.6s pity they didn't live up to the dream, I hope the 8.4s are more reliable

Very much doubt if you'l see UK manufactures rushing to fit 8.4s at the moment  ,  three or four hundred pounds for a vac motor that costs a few dollars to produce is just stupid .  You can get a 6.6 for 135 from the carpet cleaners store guy ,  all the 8.4 gains you is half a HG  , the extra cfm is not woth talking about . ( about 4 )
It will probably take volume production to make the 230v 8.4 cost less ,  until then no way il pay for a hundreds for a motor that has to endure sucking in wet wool fibers and gunk and expect it to last years .
Whenever they cost about 150 il put them in the Enforcer .  Until then il use the 6.6 for 135 or the Electros that sell for around the same price .

If electros are the same price and of similar performance specially if there's 2 in there then I'd go for their reliability which makes more sense but Alltec have made modifications to their 6.6 motors to make them longer lasting but they don't make the cub.

My cub is almost 2 years old , still on original pump ,  had a new vac motor 6 months ago , I sweat it VERY hard , its often double shifted , I think ive cleaned the waste tank twice , and have done no other maintenance .
