Alright guys I'm thinking about getting into drain unblocking and would like to learn more about it.
Does anyone know where I could do a course?

My thoughts was if you have a nipple on the end of thin plastic hose and a connection to the machine something like this

Would need a big hose reel on side in van, maybe have a metal post put on far side from side door to have it on, have been thinking about this since I got my machine, only prob am flooded with work so haven't got time to do it, just picked up another site off that job I did, and outside of the white section in lime st, plus pressure washing jobs are already building up

Glad to hear your keeping busy, I'm getting fed up with domestic window cleaning so looking into other areas. I have done a couple of drains so far just using rods but want to get into jetting etc
Need to get one of those nozzles and some other bits but hoping to just use my existing hose as I haven't got room for another reel as the van mount takes up loads of room.

The hose reels for this type of hose seem to be a lot bigger but lighter in weight, fit it on inside of roof

I was considering this last year. I was buying some stuff from a supplier in Trafford park and mentioned it to the guys there. They said Nooooo. All their customers who clear drains stink and don't realise because they are so used to it.

Smells like money to me  I'd train you up but you'd have to come to the edge of the world. I removed a dead ferret from a drain on a gypsy camp last week so its not a job for those with a weak stomach

The ferret was mostly in one piece although bloated and the skin came off. I have the wja qualification but I have been doing drains for years. You can be shown the basics but you need the experience is what counts. How do you tell whats in the bottom of a chamber when its full of sewage ? How do you plunge a toilet when there is another toilet the otherside of the wall ? The tricks will save hours of struggle but they are obvious when shown

We discussed this a few years ago!  What if I sponsored a course for the guys and you use my training facility?  We have plenty of drains and even a canal 10 yards away and we are very Central in Birmingham.  I am sure the guys would all pay a nominal amount to cover your costs etc???
