Prochem vs Solutions
« on: May 12, 2015, 07:53:54 pm »
Wanted to ask on here rather than clean talk and get standard answers that Mpower can save the universe etc. Are solutions products that much better than Prochems or is it just down to (like most things) personal preference.

I bought the sample pack a while back and never really got into it - tried the spm today and the result was great but honestly no better than if I had stuck to my normal Prochem products.

I'm a big Prochem fan, I like their training and machines but also cautious I maybe missing out on something?

prochem sell prochem products, solutions sell solutions products,
have a chat with john kelly at restormate or jamie pearson at cleaning systems UK, they sell all products and will give you complete unbiased advice as to whats good and whats needed to get great results everytime.

All the companies supply good products (prochem chemspec alltec solutions cleansmart restormate and others).

If you were to look in most carpet cleaners van you would find a mixture of all the companies.

Some of the products are just copies of other products I was at the TACCA day and one of the suppliers was telling me they bought out a new product and within 6 weeks it had been copied by one of the other companies.

No one of the supplier has the magic bullet of cleaning products that clean in all situations that is why we have a mixture of different ones.

Don't know what is said on cleantalk anymore as can no longer log on and also my wife was banned before she even became  a member she had a message Block J Austin, unfortunately, the account you registered on Cleantalk | Professional Cleaning Forum did not meet membership requirements. Your account has been removed.

They do sell some good product.

dan,
I tell you what good to have in your van from solutions, similar you will find from restormate and others.

shockwave - very good on dirty carpets and even upholstery (will need acid rinse) not that strong like power burst. cheap for every day use, i like it

spm - (similar restore it from restormate, pure clean from prochem) also very good, spm have oxy action so good to mix fresh but i dont care

mpower spotter - just like other similar spotters

final phase - good but not best, must say its very ligh acid, there are better, but good if you dont need realy strong acidic rinse

resolvit gel - usualy better then competitors, need to shake before every use, so far I think is better then liqua gel

gum off it - not realy must have if you have resolvit, but somethimes handy

rx spotter - useless, definitelly will not purchase any more, can do more damage then good

eco pog - must have, very good on oil and many make ups

spot solve - best on emulsion paints but not realy good on other oil and solvent based paints,  good to have this and solvex from prochem. works very well on wet carpet

defomer - good

mpower - poo :)

shop around, talk to restormate as derek said,

Are we not all searching for the Holy Grail that doesn't really exist?

I have tried all sorts of chemicals over the last 5 years that have produced similar results, but now use only 3 with a couple of boosters on the van and in the main and these cover me for all jobs.

No not a one product fixes all, just a query on if one company is significantly better than the others as a few people have led me to believe.

How do you know you have been banned.

We can go and see the main posts but as soon as we click on them it asks us to log on and that as far as we have got.

Over the years we have spent £4,000 with Nick.

Speaking with different carpets cleaners at events it amazing how many have been banned he must loose a lot of business.

I have products from all the suppliers, use some more than others, but over time I think you just find your own personal favourites
its a personal choice

for the last year i have used solutions products and get on very well with them.
My go to pre sprays are spm and mpower but mostly spm.

spotters i use are spot solve, eco pog, gum off it, mpower spotter, f8 and micro spotters.

Perviously i used mostly powerburst or ultrapac usually with an in tank extraction pro or similar and a deodouriser .

I find my current line up much nicer to work with mostly as i dont have any breathing troubles like i used to get. The products need a more thorough process but give great results.
