compleat rip off
« on: May 12, 2015, 09:44:07 am »
ive bought a easey heat hot warter system from a well known window cleaning suplyer.in Cheshire.it stated it had no 20 min cut off which they have alterd their website description I first noticed something was wrong after afew days so I rang up and the sent out a new selanoid which was fitted still the same keeps turning off after a few mins operation. so I contacted the supplyer direct and they in formed me that THEY DO NOT SUPLY THEM WHITH OUT A 20MIN CUT OFF so ive been trying to get in touch with the place ive got it from but the person is not in bla bla bla.so if any one as got one get in touch with them as they are ripping us all off .next step is trading standards why should they get away with selling goods that are not as described  >:(I personaly aint gonna let this one go on principle.

Maybe I'm not reading this right but if you say the supplier doesn't supply them without this feature and yours
doesn't have it then it looks as if you have bought a fake.
Contact trading standards and inform the police of this information plus don't use it until you have found out one way or
the other.

it looks to me hes pulling a fast one just by saying it as no cut off when he knows different when I told him I had already spoken to the supplier he told me to leave it with him.next minuet hes alterd his add from one with no 20min  cut off to just a add with nothing about a cut off.he shat him self cos hes been found out and now hes been left with stock hes gonna struggle to get rid.if id have wanted one with a cut off iwould not of got this one at 180 quid when there are cheaper alternatives >:( im still waiting for a call 3wks later after loads of calls.

Name and shame I say then do go to trading standards and tell them you are as its not right the should not charge the price for a unit that only costs half that without the none stop . Name and shame don`t be afraid . Companies that con customers should be shown no mercy.  Its Caywoods is it not.

It's highly unlikely Trading Standards will be interested. This transaction would be classed as a business to business transaction and does not come under consumer law, it will probably be contract law.

surly this is misrepusentation of goods .ie would you buy buy a car that stated it would do 200 mpg then find out it did ten. idont think so this is blatent fraud why would you alter your web site.that surly is an admistion of guilt. end of

You would need in writing exactly what you were buying. If what you received was different, then you would have to go to court if the seller did not respond.
Possibly a print out of the original website page would help, but you really need what you were buying in writing for it to constitute a contract.

Doesn't matter you have the right to return anything that you buy online within a time frame, I think its 28 days but not
sure on that one.
If the seller hasn't given you the opportunity to do this then you have a case.
Hopefully you will have paid for it by credit card so just take it up with your credit card company.
Paypal are supposed to do the same but they are not always the most helpful of companies.

If you bought online, you have 14 days to return it. After that, if the seller has a tracking number and can show that you received it, you are on your own.

I had 2 of these years ago before I got totally fed up with them cutting out etc, another thing that will make it cut off is draft or gust of wind. If they are not put somewhere right out of the way where no wind can get to it they work but they still cut out, they are to toy like for me. Get a diesel heater they are far more reliable and will still work in 80 mile an hour winds lol

corwoods are a family run business that have been going for years.they have a trade counter which is very rare these days.ive found them very helpful and they have a good stock of supplies if you need them in an emergency.victoria is very charming and knows her stuff! :)

i bought a heater off them a while ago and it worked fine  for 18 months until it froze last xmas(my fault!).

ive drove up there a few times when ive needed something fast in an emergency.

great company to deal with IMO
price higher/work harder!
