Did the show have a lack of vision?  :P
We look at them, they look through them.

Oh dear .
Imagine if they were no shows or suppliers trying to advertise their products or even invent new working methods and equipment .
Charity benefitted - yes
Manufacturers benefitted - yes
The Wfp user ( customer ) benefitted - yes

They'd always be critics , their is the odd custy of mine that probably doesn't rate my work .

Let's just embrace better equipment and  persons help to improve the way we work .

I am sorry you did not like the show I tried my very best I managed to get over 30 suppliers and make the biggest window cleaning show in the uk what I loved  to see and managed to buy some great new products  which have not even been released yet we had a new unger channel , a new wagtail  a new company which is about to go into pole manufacturing and the clamps look amazing , 3 new poles  and what I think is a amazing electronic tap controller and everyone I spoke to was really nice it is only my second show and there is room for improvement attendance had almost doubled which was great . So thank you very much to everyone who attend  :)

Also money is coming now for some of the charitys which were involved Over £1700 already and loads more in the next few days

I'm so sorry you all feel so bitter, but hey guys I paid my entrance money and have every right to give my two-penneth worth.
I only said I thought there would be a lot more there...
Where were Window Cleaning Warehouse, where was Gardiner poles just to name two of the biggest names in our industry?
Now before you all jump on me again.... I spoke to lots of guys at the show and made some great new contacts... and found a new local supplier here in Devon, but a lot of those guys I spoke to said the same ''last years was bigger and better'' or ''Not enough here''  or ''suppliers that are here are not selling, only showing and you have to buy online''  and ''Can't believe Gardiners Poles are not here I really wanted to see their poles up close'' were just a few of the comments I heard in various conversations throughout the day.

Now whilst I have already said in the Original Post, well done to the organisers they did do a great job, that goes without saying, I dip my hat to Mark, well done Sir. (Just for the record, having spent 25 years in the leisure industry I have in the past organised big events and I DO know how much effort & time they take,) I Only recently helped to organise & raise £2,350 in one night at our local pub for the Devon Air Ambulance and that took months to organise.

I, on the day anyway was not the only one disappointed, but the only one prepared to put my head above the parapet and say so.
Why not next year, hand out a small questionnaire  and have a prize draw with it to encourage feedback??
Why not have a small stage area with PA system and invite suppliers up to publicly show new products,  maybe a small short seminar from marketing people or some industry experts sharing their experience and idea's?
in other words a focal point of the whole show.

Its just my opinion that's all. But hey that's what I thought forums were all about??? Voicing your opinion whether everyone agrees or not!

Had a great time at the show. For me the highlights were ;

Being told my system is one of the best at the show.

Your van is "Window cleaning porn"

Having crowds of people surrounding my van.

17 friend requests from the show (now 36)

Meeting a few guys including Craig Booth (awesome guy)

Being personally thanked by wagga.

To top it all off being woke up at 6.40pm from a supplier wanting a "talk and meeting" ( I was shattered from the show)

Next year will see me and my friends in a caravan and drinking.

It's true what they say tho. Meeting people in real life is totally different to talking over the Internet. So much can get lost in translation. Managed to put a few issues to bed as well.

Got some fantastic ideas for my van that's not been done before and managed to get ideas on how to improve set up......

Until next time !

Everything can be bigger and better.

The show is like an iphone3gs. Give it a few years and it will be like a iphone 6 plus!

Will it still involve standing in front of a customers window and rubbing with a brush and some water coming out the end ? ;D ;D

HaHa. I had the gist of this convo with another bloke. A £500 setup vs high end setup does the same job. I like to be different. Always have been.

On a personal level I found the show very  good, There were new poles and Innovation with a range of controllers on show from different people. The show was busy from start to finish with a very positive buzz about the place. Lots of people chatting and getting a chance to put faces to names.

A chance for people to see new products chat and socialize and on top a lot of cash raised for charity.

LOL I know my Battery was pretty worn out by the end of the day.  ;D ;D
It was great to see so many people and chat.  We had five pumps running off two batteries plus a power supply for the AC Hoche touch screens. The monster Pentaflex pump was the amps guzzler. Its capable of pulling 27 amps.
