Advice needed please
« on: May 05, 2015, 02:09:03 pm »
Hi to all... Got some gutter/facia & conservatory  roof cleaning to do.
1) what's the best stuff to use?
2) what equipment do you use to get to fascia & gutter over conservatory roof & to also clean the gutter brackets?
3) how do you price these jobs up?

Any advice is much appreciated... Thanks in advance

i use water fed pole and just use my pure water, never needed anything else so far, the brush gets into all the brackets on the gutters much better then by hand.

Price wise work out how long it will take you and aim to earn more an hour from it then you would on windows

1. We use Traffic film remover ( various brands available )  in a backpack, and spray onto Upvc with a wfp pole.
2. Leave to dwell ( but don't let t dry ) then get an adapter that you can plug into customers water outside tap, and scrub, rinse with tap water.      If not available, or there is glass roof use pure water.

This is the fitting that connects your wfp pole to the outside tap/hose -

You can get different end fittings, depending on your particular hose fitting

Hi Mark, I use Virosol  on F/S/G cleans as even if they are not too badly soiled it brings them up in a decent shine! I spray neat onto my brush then couple of minutes later scrub and rinse off.
I tend to use the sill brush from Gardiners, as it easily reaches up behind the gutter sections and is great for cleaning the brackets too. I've got the red fan jets fitted on mine coz the spray is great for rinsing off. Some lads on here use the Xtreme brush and say it does a good job.
Pricing? I'm in N.Wales so I price it at £1.50-2 per metre (bracket-bracket), if access awkward add a bit more.
Regards,Nic.
