Best chemical for conservatory roof?
« on: May 03, 2015, 08:34:58 am »
Hi, got a conny roof clean coming up all the panels are green  :(  I've done a few before but just used pure water but I'm interested in pre soaking it with something to make the job easier.

The problem is i hear these story's about virosol, tfr etc can cause staining on glass panels is left too long. I really dont want to take that chance.

Is there anything out there thats specially designed for conny roof cleaning or proven not to stain? If all else fails what about a pre scrub with fairy liquid?

Thanks.

If you don't want to risk virosol then a good squirt of cif onto your brush head will do as good, if not better job.
Wet the roof first, then apply cif to brush, run your brush all over roof re-applying cif as needed So it foams up.
Then get your water on and scrub away..

CIF - Ive always used .
I have used TFR , Ubik and I still think TFR and CIF are awesome .

I'm buying Virosol next as my TFR has nearly ran out

I have also found Cif to be brilliant on fascia cleans even better than Virosol.

Dilute virosol about 8 to 1 soak your 1st 2 panels (I use a pump sprayer). Clean your 1st panel with pure or tap while the next panel is soaking. Spray the 3rd panel, then clean the second. Comes up a treat. So your pre soaking the the panel ahead of the one your working on. Makes life a lot easier.
