I found the 80A leisure battery struggling after a day on houses where the van hardly moves. The 120A is far better.

if your getting a leisure battery get one with 4 pins on it.
2 main pins for your normal connections for power.
2 thinner pins to connect a battery charger cable connections onto permanttly.

you can then leave your heavy battery in van and charge it up via extention cable from house.power supply, and close doors.
im glad i bought these, never had battery out of van , easy charged up once a week

....or just buy a 2 pin battery and leave the battery and charger in the van and charge it up via extention cable from house.power supply, and close doors.

oldman,
what exactly  do you connect  intothe extention cable supply  to charge the battery upto

so you have an extention cable plugged into your house socket going into your van,      can you let the member know what exactly to get to plug into the extention box to  connect onto the battery to be able to get the power to charge the battery up properly. ???
these leisure batteries with 4 pins built on are no more expensive than the normal 2 pin batteries.

so what is your main necativity with using an inteligent battery charger with fittings connected permantly onto your battery to be able to charge it up via using a push-fit connection which comes with the numax charger.

i dont use a split relay because most of my work is local,    therefore my leisure battery would not get enough power from a static van battery to be able to keep it charged up for the day,

we are only trying to help someone out with advice from our previous experiences , ???       is there anything wrong with that.

i got a lot of advice off these forums to which i am very gratefull,     i hope to return this advice which is now gained  experience  to other fellow window cleaners who come on here not having an idea as what to get,  or just need assuring about a purchase.

you can loose a lot of money buying wrong sized fittings etc     and WFP gear .

now back to normality.
TAKE A DEEP BREATH. ;D ???

Johnny you don't need a four pinned battery to have the charger connected full time, the four pinned batteries are
nothing more than a gimmick, but at the end of the day if they are as reliable as any other battery and don't cost anymore
then go for it.

Always gone for 4 pin batteries.

I will take a photo of my current van battery and you tell me if 2 pins would be enough.

Mate take a look at caravan batteries and you will find them all to be 2 pin even though they run lights pumps alarms and
a lot more.

when i ordered my battery i didnt even know some come with 4 pins.        its only till i got my charger that i realised i could connect the charger acessorie onto it and leave it on.  it  is great for that.      i will soon be connecting another controller onto it.

how much driving would consider enough to benefit with split relay then johnny,     i consider my work local but its spread out a bit
