Guys that do well under the noses of others are always going to get shot down. The thought of others doing better than them in their market-place has been known to sting so it would seem.
Like the guy in Southampton. Lolololol

Dave, is that genuine ?

I mentioned this when Steve started a thread a few weeks back before it got pulled, what and which official training organisation is backing up this training ?

If none my "training certificate " is as valid as any other in this instance

If someone has "passed" a training course you can not demand a certificate to be returned because they no longer wish to do your work.

This sounds more like an "approved supplier"  set up to me,  to which I have no problems with.

Just don't like Hong Kong phooey that your a superior, trained solar panel operative.

Two arrays were done by ourselves today, fully trained, and I can knock you up a certificate  from my notebook should you wish to see one  ;D

Darran

Yer it's genuine. That's Steve's words lifted off another forum. The way I understood it there is no official body so your certificate would be as good as the next guys  ;D The plan is to run it as an unofficial training programme until it becomes recognised and then Steve will be the official trainer of panel cleaning. I'm not sure what would happen if a dozen or so "training centres" all popped up at the same time though.

The people going on this course simply need work! They are not there to learn how to clean a solar panel, they are there to sign up as a subcontractor and have work spoon fed to them by Steve's company. They aren't going to come on here and spill the beans because they would jeopardise their chances of getting any work subbied to them (probably signed the official secrets act anyway).
So, in essence £250 or whatever it costs to get some work probably doesn't seem a bad deal to them.  Personally, I'd rather stick pins in my eyes than clean fields of identical panels day in day out but each to their own.

This.

So to clarify:

All attendees of the course have agreed, without coercion, to wear our branded hi-viz vests on our jobs, to carry our signage on their vans to say they are a Clean Solar Solutions Approved Contractor and the carry our logo and include a hyperlink from their website to ours.

In return, they have exclusivity over an area.  When we received a job in their area, it is passed to them, they clean it, invoice us and are paid by BACS within 30 days.

It is a very straightforward win, win situation.

As Mother Theresa said "I can do things you cannot.  You can do things I cannot.  Together, we can do great things."

My company can get jobs that others cannot.  Approved Contractors can make cleaning them profitable, whereas because of distance, I cannot.  Together, we are cleaning a shed load of solar panels.

Is it a difficult concept?  No.
Is it worth arguing about?  No.

You are either in or out.  It's up to you.

Oh.  The truth hurts.  We can get jobs others cannot.

But at least I don't need to sink to using personal insults or foul language.  I guess only good businessmen do that.

Oh FFS put a sock in it. I don't need to lie or insinuate anything, get back in your pram and behave little man.

Aww, bless.  Insinuation, innocence and now patronising abuse.  What's next, leave in a flouncing huff and stamp up to your room?

Why not deal with the meat of the argument rather than attacking me on a personal level?

It is perfectly possible to be a window cleaner and never use a squeegee.  Discuss.

You know what Vin, I was out of order yesterday. Whatever you do or however you run your business, whatever you are able to do or not do is none of my business.

I apologise.

iv read the thread on another forum and some of your comments on there were personel actually they were very belittling but thats just you all over you think your far superior to every one else turns out the guy you were mocking was a  falklands war vet.
If Thats the sort of person you are and people still want to deal with you then shame on them. I also read that the big solar companys were monorting your thread if they deal with someone like you they should be named in a blog something like these companys deal with solar steve the guy that belittles war vets.

Look.
Most people know steves course is b******s and money for old rope.

But as a business man huge respect, his course is obviously making him money and people are attending and buying into his course, so whether what he is selling is poope or not you cant knock his hustle, putting grapes into water and telling you its wine.

I told you they would advertise saying we are solar panel cleaning approved or something similar, you will need to sink a lot of money into advertising but I suppose the pratts that do the course will help pay for that.

Well done

Seems solar steve has stayed under the rock he normally creeps from instead of getting on his soap box not much to say is there steve when your faced with the facts and also told by another member it was bad form. I can always paste the quotes over if you do decide to have another say.

What on earth has a bloke's war record got to do with anything?
