Whatever you would charge with ladders you should also charge for WFP.

If you lop off £££ because you are quicker with WFP all you are doing is cutting down your ppotential earnings for the job.
And you still have to negociate those balconies, which for safety's sake should only be with access from the inside....NOT climbing up and over the balconies off a ladder!""!
With balconies like this using WFP is still straight forward.
Simply pinch off the flow, leave pole exended above balcony.
Gain access, whip off brush, clip on smaller pole and clean as normal.
And just reposition the pole so you can get it off the next balcony.

Or of course just do them trad.

But, if you did have WFP don't drop the price because you do so.

It is vital that we don't start dropping prices because we are quicker with WFP.

We have also invested a lot of money in our systems, and running these systems takes up more of our down time too.
And of course running expenses have to be considered.

After spending money on an expensive system you want to earn more and not just earn the same as before.

Any of you that make the change to WFP make sure you keep your prices the same as before.

A job like this one is where you make your money, but whats the point if you slash £10 or £15 off the price

i dont do it my self i have help what size WFP would i need i put my 3 t ladder up on top and do 2 of the 3 and then move across and the over 1 of the ones in middle of bulding.
and steve the ladders are not diy they cost me a lot and are heavy.

I only use ladders but i wouldn't touch it, its a Death trap waiting to happen, maybe not the first time, but the place for ladders isn't on this one, leave it to the lads with wfp

i just wonder why everyone is quoting wfp clean as cheaper than off ladders.
you pitch it as more expensive because they get a better clean, plus all frames get cleaned and because we use no deterjent they stay clean for 2 months as aposed to just a month.

Yes and maybe wfp system is slower but only for the first time clean. after that its much easier and not breaking the law.
I would charge that job $65 but for the first time clean to get all initial dirt of frames 50% more.
$95, then $60 every two months.
And i've never had complaints about being to expensive.

Lol! Might have done a while back, but probably not now.
To be honest it's not that high, and it's on flat even ground.

I'd just quote for everything except the top ones and I'd be £25 cheaper.
So it's up to them if they want to pay someone another £25 for two windows.....

So, I'd expect to still get it.

I think you shouldn't bother commenting on this one, I wouldn't attempt it trad. This type of job is for wfp.

People who own a house like this don't want the job half done.
do the lot, including both sides of those balcony panels, and the blue decor panels if they are pvc.

You may expect to get it, but when it is explained properly you probably wouldn't.

£70 for a professional job done safely. (every 8 weeks if need be)

Or £35 for half the job done by a risk taker

I wouldn't call missing two windows "half the job".
Backflip would do it anyway.

Wfp'ers would have to miss a whole lot more by not being able to get up onto the balconies, and as you put it "people like that" wouldn't want to let you in through the house.

They'd probably also be fussy, so that's a point for the squeegee too.
I'd happily charge less, as I don't need to up my price to justify equipment.

To say "leave it to wfp" is just another "we're better than you" dig.
How were they done before may I ask??
