The key to enjoying  a forum is not to take it too seriously  . . . . . and ignore all the silly braggers who live on a faraway planet.

The issue is that people come on a forum to seek advice.  That advice is often given freely and without personal gain from someone experienced in that field.  Unfortunately then some idiot ridicules that advice and says something stupid like this is better or that is better when the original person offering the advice is far more experienced and knows their method works through hard found trials and testing over a period of years.  So I totally understand Roger and his decision especially after talking to him at length today.

Mike I accept your view but the sad fact is the whilst no one person is indespensible the CIU cannot afford to keep losing valuable members like Roger, Rob and Mike.

I must admit that the problem seems to be getting worse lately. Hardly a post of yours doesn't attract some Éiru controversy lol. ;D
I am a relative newbie to this forum but would like to think I have something positive to add based on years of practical experience. My first request gave me an answer that has saved me hours of work.  Some subsequent advice I have posted has left me a little bruised and rethinking my position on posting.  Not all of us are as thick skinned and insensitive as the assailants think we should be. I am happy to share things as I remember when I was a wee nipper in shorts trembling at the thought of turning on my commercial steam cleaner. Valuable advice is worth so much more that just  getting the job done. It builds confidence and can set you on a path to great things.
We all need a helping hand so let's stop biting it.

Kevin, can you remind us please why the idiot who by the way has far more experience than you have when it comes to deep cleaning Altro safety flooring was ridiculing your recommendations. Just in case you can't remember i am more than happy to explain to you once again why the idiot was ridiculing you.

Regards

Yet another vindictive post aimed at me in the very early hours of the morning!  Had a little drink did we?  Because if this post was written when you were sober you really are a twisted little twerp.  Anyway just to put your sick little mind to rest the post you refer to was from someone totally different and the subject was wooden decking :o :o :o

i have spoken to kevin martin on two occasions on the phone  and i have only bought off him twice both times very small orders so i have no vested interest in defending him nor am i taking sides but one thing i have noticed is that he does not give as much advice on here as he used to and i suspect it is because every time he does certain people post opposing views whilst simultaneously slagging off his methods.
nobody should have to put up with that continual harassment when all they are trying to do is help so here's an idea,
If someone asks advice on here and someone else has a different view point don't slag them off or berate their advice just offer your own advice in an impartial way without name calling .

Well said mate, it's advise everyone wants not bickering about who's the best, it's about what's the best,

His..... yours ... Whoevers......... Just post your opinion, even if you don't like the person who posted before,

This side to the forum needs more activity on it, some days there's barely a single post

Where back to this monkey business material again.

Kevin,  at this stage i just could not be bothered, but just to confirm as you know and don't be trying to twist things the post i was referring to was from Nick M who posted this on the hard floor section on 9-12-14 (primary school vinyl toilet floor)

I still don't see myself as a twisted little twerp,   but i can't stand people who try to twist things around either.
