Problem with pump WFP
« on: April 29, 2006, 11:17:31 am »
Can anyone help please?
My pump has stopped pumping water. The pump is making all it's usual noises but no water is being sucked from the tank. It is a shurflo 100psi. I have checked for any obvious blockages and it seems fine, so any ideas please?

Have you got an airlock?

Hi mike

If you haven't got an air lock it could be the valves inside the pump are smashed, this happened to my pump by tiny little stands of plastic, even though i had a in line filter fitted.

Give Williamson's pumps a ring they are very helpful, they replaced my valves for around £16+vat

You can suck the water through and the pump should work OK, not nice but at least you can use the pump until you fix it.

Hope this helps

Sorted guys. Must have been air, sucked the outlet hose and the pump started working again. Thanks for the advice.
