More RO static advice please...??
« on: March 16, 2015, 08:31:30 pm »
I now need the most efficient way of transferring water from my IBC to my van tank.

Length of hose/pipe required 8M

Would a gravity fed IBC delivery kit work or do I need a pumped unit....??

I use a submersible pump from Machinemart, (cost about £35) and some 1" hose. Takes about 10 minutes to fill a 650l tank.

Here is an idea folks. Book your van in for an mot at 8.ooam on a monday morning . Pick it back up at 9.00am and work all week with it.
IF it needs work doing to it book it in with the garage for the following friday afternoon/saturday for getting it fixed.

This plan = very little disruption to your working week.

OR

Wait right up until your MOT is due to have it inspected and keep your fingers crossed it needs nothing doing to it. If it does need work you are goosed as you wont be able to drive it around working from it!!

Hope this helps.

Sorry wrong topic!!!!!1

we use shut off valve:
http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/parts/submersible-pumps-fittings/240v-submersible-pumps-hose-fittings/1-a-shut-off-valve-for-delivery-hose.html
last thing you'd want is to run back like crazy to try turn off the pump when tank is full or pulling hose  with water pumping through spilling  it all over the van/yourself...
