Pre spray for patio cleaning
« on: March 16, 2015, 05:30:45 pm »
Hi guys, I'm looking for a recommendation for a pre spray before using whirl away on patios  and driveways.
I don't want one that foams a lot when jetting down.

Cheers

You don't need a prespray to assist the cleaning , just an appropriately powerful machine.

If your machine leaves lichen etc then an application of. Chemical might be needed but not beforehand

I have a loncin 13hp machine but surely if I used like a brick cleaner type spray and left it to dwell for 20 mins the rest should be much easier??

Brick cleaner is normally an acid which would attack  morter/cement based stains but  is less effective against organic soil or atmospheric based soiling.

Why use a corrosive  and ecspensive chemical if it not needed?

Plus if it did help the Pro power washers would be using it but I don't know any that do, your machine has the power to do the job with any additional help

BUT,!! To be honest I have'nt tried it, it might help..... have a test it might make the job easier

Hypo at 3 to 1 with water or slightly stronger. Spray as soon as you arrive and by the time you are set up with the PW it has done its magic.
Just be careful of surrounding areas as the hypo can be bit naughty on surrounding plants wood etc
