Village mags
« on: March 14, 2015, 05:45:45 pm »
Ive advertise in a local village mag for the last 10 years or so.
My annual renewal come up next week.
I will be renewing.
Id like a bit of inspiration for a new page though.
Its A5.

Would anyone post up their page if you advertise in a similar magazine please?

I'd be grateful for any thoughts/ideas too.

Thanks in advance.

Yes mate, plenty.

I would say if it's run by locals it'll be a good'n.
The crap ones are the one like 'rural trader' which is a franchise.
If it looks professional, stay away from it ime.
That cost me a lot and gained nothing.

The actual village rag though, costs not a lot and gains well.
I don't know if its the people that run it tend to put your name out more 'cause you're 'keeping money in the village'. One of the trustees actually used that phrase to me a while back.
It's one of the reasons I'll stop for a pint at lunch in the pub, grab fish & chips every now & then at the chippy and get a coffee in the caff if it looks busy.
It's one of those villages. I've found a lot are.

I have a ad in a couple of parish magazines...The ad reads "window cleaning" in massive letters then my name, numbers, and website...

Nothing fancy at all...it probably brings in the best work I get ;)
